About Screamcast

Team Scream
Screamcast (Team Scream) is an independent video game development team that focuses on creating or porting software for the Sega Dreamcast console. Members hail from around the globe, which creates both diversity and difficulty. We overcome the obstacle of "long distance" development by centering our communication around team-based, private web forum discussion as well as instant messaging.

Software
Our projects include both "from scratch" development and porting existing software. Among these are original games, clones, game ports, and ported emulators. At any given time, Screamcast may have several projects in development. Our projects can be viewed from the side menus on the Main Page.

History
Founder/Leader Austin began hobby game development in 2003, helping programmer Lucious to create a quirky Donkey Kong clone, Tux And Barrels. He created the spriteset and came up with the development moniker "Screamcast" as a vehicle for his part of the venture. In March 2004, he put out an open call for programmers, artists, and musicians who would be willing to start a new development team. A domain was purchased, web hosting secured, and the rest is history.

Roster
The team is constantly evolving, but a roster can be found HERE.

Joining
If you are a programmer, artist, or musician/composer who is interested in joining, check out this application and tell us a bit about yourself: what you'd like to do, what experience you have, some links to your work, etc. Besides the core development disciplines already mentioned, other tasks involved might include testing, web design, idea collaboration, and writing tutorials or articles.
